Getting around: The hotel’s location in Isla Verde means plenty of restaurants, stores, clubs, and the beach are in the immediate area. To explore the city, take AMA or Metrobus public buses from stops marked “Parada” for fares less than $5. Fees subject to change without notice. A5 stops next to the hotel and travels from Isla Verde to the other popular tourist areas of Condado and Old San Juan. Once in Old San Juan, it’s simplest to stroll, but hopping on and off the district’s open-air trolleys is free. The narrow streets and lack of parking can make driving particularly difficult in Old San Juan and in general, visitors may find local driving habits are aggressive and require caution. Taxis outside of tourist areas charge metered fares. Ferries run from the pier in Old San Juan across the bay to Cataño for less than $5 and from Fajardo on the east coast to the islands of Vieques and Culebra for fares of less than $5. The main terminal is on the waterfront in Old San Juan.

Amenity highlights: Gently washed by Atlantic surf, the two-mile-long, 50-yard wide Isla Verde beach fronting the resort is protected by an offshore reef and offers ample room for quiet sunbathing. The hotel has an expansive, lagoon-style pool that meanders under a bridge, through flowering gardens, and past tall palm and gum trees and rock waterfalls.
